Business Development Manager

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week: 08:30 to 16:30 (Monday to Friday)
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 Dependent on experience

Responsibilities
Reporting to Service Department Management, the ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Conduct research and analysis to identify new and emerging business opportunities – to include; new markets, areas of growth, customer engagement strategies, examining trends, partnerships, products/services innovations. As well as devising new approaches to reach and penetrate existing markets.
- Proactively generate leads and cold call activities to reach out to prospective customers.
- Contribute to planning of sales campaigns aimed at increasing sales performance of the department.
- Perform sales forecasting and analysis, with a focus on presenting these insights and recommendations to senior management/ board of directors.
- Engage in both face-to-face and over the phone interactions with customers as required.
- Cultivate and develop relationships with customers.
- Demonstrate and acute understanding of customer needs and respond effectively with a plan of to meet those needs.
- Think strategically by envisioning the broader organisational goals and setting clear aims and objectives in order to drive business development and enhancement.
- Implement strategic initiatives through necessary planning in order to implement operational changes and enhancements.
- Collaborate with the marketing department to explore and discuss promotional activities and strategies.
Skills & Qualifications
Required Experience:
- Sales role for at least 2 years
- Full UK Drivers license with access to personal vehicle.
Desired Experience:
- Qualifications with a business or a business-related degree.
